The declaration for the 1st of the month is made by NASIMCO from sighting reports received from member Jamaats and with guidance from the resident Alim of Toronto Jamaat, Maulana Sayyid Muhammad Rizvi.

Moonsighting for 1st of Jamadi-al-Thaani 1433 AH

NASIMCO wishes to inform the community that it has received no reports of the crescent moon being sighted on the evening of Saturday, April 21st, 2012. Therefore, after completion of 30 days for Jamadi-al-Ula, the 1st of Jamadi-al-Thaani will be on Monday, April 23rd, 2012 for all North American communities.

Important Dates of the Month

3rd (25th April) - Shahadat Sayyida Fatima (SA)
20th (12th May) - Wiladat Sayyida Fatima (SA)

Musallah Sponsorship

It has been over three years in the making, but by the Grace of Allah (سبحانه وتعالى‎) we are in the final stages in the completion of noble task that this community has undertaken in constructing Masjid-e-Ali (as).

One of the first tasks that our Prophet (saw) undertook upon arriving in Medina was to construct a mosque - Masjidul Quba. It is following the sunnah of the Prophet (saw) that Muslims build mosques in the area where they live.

Mankind owes the child the best it has to give. Our children are a vital part of our community and they help to build for a great future of the community. We cannot think of a better gift to give our children and grandchildren than establishing a mosque and a school system where they learn and upkeep the values of Islam and Ahle Biath (as).

To each is a goal to which God turns him; then strive together (as in a race) Towards all that is good. Wheresoever ye are, God will bring you Together. For God Hath power over all things - Qur'an 2:148

We have had numerous fund raising drives where we have asked the community members to sponsor "musallahs" to help in the cause of constructing the Masjid. These "musallahs" were to designated as gifts from the donors from themselves and/or their family members or were to be designated as gifts in the memory of the departed souls of their family members or friends.

 plaque.jpg

To recognise these gifts of the "musallahs", Masjid-e-Ali (as) will place the names of the donors or their family members on name plates on a beautiiful plaque at the entrance of the new Masjid complex. When momineens enter the mosque they will recite Sura-e-Fateha for the eisale-sawab for the named and all Marhomeens and will pray for the well being of the named donors and all who are amongst us.

We are requesting the donors who have sponsored the "musallahs" to provide us with up to two names that they wish inscribed on the name plates on the plaque. The sponsorship can be designated as "A Gift From ....." or "In Loving Memory of ........". Please click on
this form and provide the information for inscribing the names on the name plates.

We had allocated a total of 300 "musallahs" with an equal number of name plates that will be placed on the plaque. There are a few "musallahs" remaining. Please click on this form to sponsor a "musallah" in your name or in the memory of your departed friend(s) or family member(s).

Who is he that will loan to God a beautiful loan, which God will double unto his credit and multiply many times? It is God that giveth (you) Want or plenty, and to Him shall be your return - Qur'an 2:245.
